As promised, we’re coming back to the stage at the Snohomish PUD theatre with a second production of Carried by the Current. And we’re very excited to share it again. The performance dates are:
March 20, 21 & 22 at 7:00 pm
March 23 at 2:00 pm
March 27 & 28 at 7:00 pm
March 29 at 2:00 pm.
And tickets are live on womensworkproductions.com You’ll see that ticket sale proceeds and donations from the first show will be given to local shelters and if you can’t make it to that performance, you can always buy a pay it forward ticket, which will go to someone so they can see the show in addition to the proceeds going to the shelters.

Thank you to everyone who came to see that play. Like I told audiences at the show—it was probably the most exhilarating theatrical experience I had ever had. Like riding a bike with no brakes downhill—terrifying and yet . . . we made it! And in a way that had us grinning at each other and saying, “Oh that was fun. Let’s do that again!” That’s now in our basket of “break an egg” wishes if we can raise the money for a second production.
And talking of money, WWP has been offered another $10,000 matching fund donation for the second production of Carried by the Current. We’ve started to receive donations but if you want to add to the pot, we would certainly appreciate it. Donations can be made online, through the donate now button on the website, or checks can be mailed to Women’s Work Productions, 50303 Hwy 20, Concrete, WA 98237. WWP operates as a non-profit under the umbrella of Innovation Foundation, a 501(c)3, tax ID # 26-1190499.

Finally, how about my chickens of the “break an egg” comment above? Well, a wonderful friend read that last blog post, where I talked about how we performers at WWP have come to say break an egg instead of break a leg backstage at our shows, and this friend sent me an egg apron to carry my chickens’ eggs safely from the coop to the house. A lovely reminder that you’re out there, following along with our progress. And we thank you very much for it. Please feel free to spread the word of this March’s production of Carried by the Current. We could not do this without you.
